Sexy Photolite: Bhai Movie Review|Nagarjuna Bhai Movie Review -
Story:
Reigning mafia group receives severe jolts after an undercover cop starts eliminating one by one in their gang. David (Ashish Vidyardhi), the head man of the gang deploys his trusted lieutenant Bhai aka Vijay (Nagarjuna) to find out the mystery. The story then shifts to Hyderabad where a girl (Richa Gangopadhyay) enters Bhai’s life. What happens next forms the rest of the story.
How did they perform?:
Nagarjuna looked stylish and young as usual. He is doing a full length comedy entertainer after a long time and lived up to the hype in the character. However, director should have made his character more intense. The long hair get up did not suit him in any ways. There are too many unnecessary punch dialogues which were in the movie just for the sake of being there. As usually there is no improvement in the dances department which is a weak area for Nagarjuna years together.
Richa managed to bag a solo heroine role after a long wait but she just remained a mere glam doll. Kamna Jethmalani appeared and disappeared in a jiffy. Brahmanandham and MS Narayana were totally wasted and their comedy tracks are cheap and silly. Nagineedu, Sonu Sood, Sayaji Shinde, Jayaprakash, Ashish Vidyardhi were strictly ordinary.
Technical Performances:
Director Veerabhadram is the main culprit behind Bhai debacle. There are mistakes all over. The story is a routine fare with patchy screenplay. He kept more focus on dialogues than making the movie watchable. There is no director in recent times who mishandled the characters of Brahmanandham and MS Narayana so miserably. It is an uphill task to direct Nagarjuna in your third movie after Allari Naresh and Sunil but Veerabhadram completely broke Nagarjuna’s trust.
Devi Sri Prasad’s music is an average fare. The title song is good though you find the tune routine. Back ground score is mediocre. Cinematography is substandard and editing is totally absent. Majority of the movie is shot in Annapurna Studios that speaks volumes about the production values.
Final Say:
The first half of the movie is bad and the second half even gets worse. And that speak volumes about my movie experience. If I were you, I will not be watching the movie on a free ticket with a free popcorn and a drink!
